Maseru, Feb. 12 — The Leader of the Democratic Congress (DC) Mr. Mathibeli Mokhothu has revealed that as the party, they fully support the initiative that Dr. Ts’epo Liphoto has embarked on reclaiming part of Lesotho’s land that was conquered during the apartheid era by the Republic of South Africa.
Speaking at a press conference held at the party’s office, Mr. Mokhothu said that issues of the return of the country’s conquered land and democracy are the two foundational principles that the Congress parties have in their constitution.
He indicated that as per this constitution, their advice to the government is to have deliberations with the Republic of South Africa and establish how well these matters can be attended to.
He added that when this matter is not well attended to between the two countries, the International court of appeal can be engaged for further appeal.
