CRROA HOLDS COUNSELLING WORKSHOP FOR INMATES

Mokhotlong, Feb. 12 — Finance Manager at the Crime Prevention, Rehabilitation, and Reintegration of Ex-Offenders Association (CRROA) Father Teboho Chaka says speaking helps in controlling emotions.

This he said during a counselling workshop held at Mokhotlong Correctional Services on Wednesday.

The theme of the workshop was psychosocial support, educating inmates on how to control their emotions. Fr. Chaka stated that inmates should share their emotions, whether sad or happy, asserting that this will help those around them approach them in a reasonable manner.

He encouraged them to control their anger, as some are in prison because of it. He added that it’s okay to feel angry, but they should know how to manage it. When discussing strategies, Fr. Chaka advised inmates to always walk away whenever they feel angry in order to calm down. . .
