Maseru, Aug. 05 — Disaster Management Authority Maseru through its District Disaster Management Team (DDMT) on Monday convened at one day Disaster Preparedness Advocacy meeting.
The meeting is held under an EU Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid (ECHO) project spearheaded by World Vision Lesotho.
In his remarks, ECHO Project Officer Mr. Majoro Fosa said that the meeting was aimed at bringing stakeholders together so that they identify areas of collaboration and gaps in disaster coordination in the district.
He said that it is also to identify the needs of communities based on their experience and identify resources that can help mitigate.
