Maseru, Apr. 17 — The defence in a case in which four members of the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) are charged with the murder of Police Constable Mokalekale Khetheng has on Wednesday continued with its evidence in a trial within trial.
The defence led a medical practitioner in the Government of Lesotho Dr. Hazan Mobashshar who testified that he examined some people at the Lesotho Correctional Service (LCS) Institution in 2017.
The doctor stated that on August 08 2017, he examined Mothibeli Mofolo, Mabitle Matona and Haleokoe Taasoana who are some of the accused in the matter and who were at that time aged 49, 39 and 44 respectively.
He indicated that Mofolo complained of numbness at his left hand, second finger. He added that he said he had painful wrists and backaches for a week.
