Berea, Dec 13 — With many festive season soccer tournaments already taking place in various places, Berea District Football Association (DIFA) has urged the participating teams to comply with the rules and regulations of their respective tournaments.
This was said by DIFA Berea President Mr. Lekhooa Thabaneng during an interview with the Agency on Friday.
Mr. Thabaneng said many zones have alerted the office about hosting the tournaments, but in most cases festive season tournaments are engulfed by many conflicts and misunderstandings influenced by people who are under heavy use of alcohol and drugs and thus endangering the lives of both players and supporters.
He further emphasized the significance of observing the rules and regulations governing such tournaments for promotion of fair play and transparent games, citing that teams should as well learn to manage and control their crowds in order to avoid being penalized.
