Mokhotlong April 03 — Members of the Mokhotlong District Local Purchase Task Force (DLPTF) met for the first time on Thursday to select a committee that will serve as a secretariat for the task force.
The meeting was a follow up to the establishment of the Task Force, which was formed last week Tuesday with the purpose to coordinate all marketing activities and enhance commercialization of agriculture in the district.
Speaking at the meeting, the District Agricultural Officer (DAO), Mr. Leluma Bereng who is also the Chairperson of the Mokhotlong DLPTF said the initiative taken to establish the task force will help to promote fisheries and other agricultural activities needed for local purchase in the district.
Mr. Bereng said commercial agriculture will also be improved as it is one of the priority sectors included in the Extended National Strategic Development Plan (NSDP) II. LU/TL
