Leribe, Sept. 05 — The Department of Social Development (DSD) has today visited District Child Protection Team (DCPT) in Leribe for feedback on ending child marriage campaigns.
Speaking at the meeting held at the Department of Social Development Hlotse in Leribe on Tuesday, Director Children Services Department of Social Development Mrs. Mookho Motheo said the campaigns commenced from as early as ,2019 to date.
Mrs. Motheo said this they deemed imperative in order to assess the impact on these mechanisms for determination of further intervention strategies to be deployed towards ending this humongous quandary.
In addition, she asserted that they deal with one Community Council per district, where they use three different approaches to derive information, namely interviews, focus groups and questionnaires.
