Maseru, Nov. 21 — The Minister of Education and Training (MoET) visited Semonkong today to track progress on school feeding programme, otherwise ‘Bokamoso Ba Bana Project – 3B’ headed by Catholic Relief Services (CRS) through support of US Embassy Lesotho.
The visit and tour commenced at the Food Management Unit (FMU) where food commodities are kept, courtesy call on the Chief of Ha Leloko Semonkong as well as actual touring at Samuel Primary School.
In his address at FMU, Professor Ntoi Rapapa thanked CRS for its support in extending a helping hand to schools, particularly hard to reach ones, adding since the start of the project, there is hope that stunting which was high in these areas will be tackled.
He appealed to FMU, Area Chiefs and Community Councilors including teachers to ensure the food commodities serve the purpose intended for addressing the nutritional status of children.
