Mokhotlong Sept. 29 — Friday morning saw few electorates queueing at different Electoral Divisions (ED) within the Mokhotlong Urban Council to cast their votes for the 2023 Local Government Elections.
Speaking with the Presiding Officer at Checha ED, Ms. Auma Motokoa before the voting process could resume, she said all the voting materials were available and ready to start the voting process by 7:00am.
While at the Mokhotlong LEC Primary School ED also within the Urban Council, the ED was opened at the official time with the first person casting votes at 7:10am.
The first voter, Mr. Hape Morojele explained that he decided to wake early in the morning to vote because he is looking forward to implementation of development projects through Community Councils.
