Berea, Aug 30 – Upon completion of the poultry management training, TKM Agricultural Solutions has encouraged both small scale and large scale farmers to go and supply the quality required by the market.
TKM Agricultural Solutions Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Mr. Malefane Ts’iu made the remarks when officially closing the five-day training for 64 poultry farmers staged at Thakaneng Youth Resource Centre, Teyateyaneng on Friday.
Mr. Ts’iu said the primary purpose of the workshop was to equip farmers for both layers and broilers with poultry rearing techniques, practical skills on slaughtering them and knowledge regarding their management from the chick’s stage up until they reach the market.
He further said among the issues they touched includes, identifying the suitable side for poultry projects, proper way of housing them, disease control, records keeping, what to consider before going to the market, and cost-effective ways of managing their feeding programme. . .
