HUNGRY FOR CHANGE

Qacha’sNek, May 16 — Bo ‘m’e Thusanang Nutrition Club members in Sehlabathebe, Ha Belebese are hungry for change to fix the failures in food production for their households.

Although it was established in 2018, they remain members by name as they are still food insecure with unimproved welfare.

This the Agency learnt during the  Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition (MAFSN) monitoring tour of nutrition clubs by officials comprising District Nutrition Officer, Letlapeng resource centre extension officers and sehlabathebe nutritionist.

Nutrition clubs form part of the ministry’s strategies aimed at the improvement of Basotho livelihoods diversification, good nutrition practices through diversified food production, practicing hygiene, ways of handling food, having increased income from household level, contributes to improved quality of life and reduced incidences of malnutrition.
