JUDICIARY PAYS TRIBUTE TO NATHANE

Maseru, Apr. 30 — As part of paying tribute to the late Justice Hopolang Nathane, the judiciary held a memorial service in his honour at the High Court premises in Maseru.

Speaking at the event, Chief Justice Sakoane Sakoane described the late Justice Nathane as a good and professional lawyer during his time.  He added that he was well mannered and a practising christian. He stated that during his short time on the bench, he delivered well researched judgments.

The Attorney General Advocate Rapelang Motsieloa said the late Justice Nathane was a gentleman who loved assisting others, especially the young lawyers. He added that he was intelligent, further adding that he shared his knowledge of law. He stated that everyone who appeared before him as a judge, had good things to say about him. He pointed out that he followed his work ethics.

He stated that the nation has lost a servant. He indicated that his demise has left a huge gap in the judiciary which he hopes will be filled through appointment of many more judges.
