KENYA DENIES BEING REASON FOR CHAN POSTPONEMENT

Maseru, Jan. 20—Kenya has denied being the reason for postponement of the 2025 African Nations Championship (CHAN) which was to be held in February.

CHAN was supposed to be in February but the Confederation of African Football (CAF) set it for later this year and it is alleged that it needed to ensure that infrastructure and facilities are up to standard in co-hosting countries, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda.

The allegations also say that Kenya is the one lacking behind with infrastructure and stadium upgrading.

Sports Minister Salim Mvurya has, however, said the allegations are untrue.

CHAN was postponed just 18 days before its opening.
