Maseru, Oct.09 — A case in which four members of the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) are charged with the murder of Police Constable Mokalekale Khetheng which failed to proceed on Monday as scheduled, could not continue today and was thus postponed to Monday next week for hearing.
Although it was not disclosed why the case could not proceed on Monday and today, reports have shown that pending payment of pro deo fees is the reason behind the postponements.
The court has in this case already held a trial within trial after the defence challenged a testimony by one of the witnesses Inspector Rapelang Nkeane. The witness had stated that the accused voluntarily showed them a place where they dumped the body of the deceased. . .
