KHETHENG MURDER TRIAL MOVES TO NEXT MONTH

Maseru, Apr. 17 — A case in which four members of the Lesotho Mounted Police Service (LMPS) are charged with the murder of Police Constable Mokalekale Khetheng  was on Thursday postponed to May 02-03 and 13 2024 for continuation.

The postponement comes as the defence is still leading its evidence in a trial within trial. It is expected that when the matter resumes the defence will put in more witnesses.

Among the witnesses eyed by the defence is the current Minister of Labour and Employment Mr. Tseliso Mokhosi. It is however not yet confirmed whether he will become the defence witness or not.

Mr. Mokhosi was one of the accused in the matter but charges against him were withdrawn.
