INSTITUTIONS AIM FOR FINANCIAL LITERACY

Maseru, July. 09 — Lack of financial management literacy in Lesotho still seems to be a great challenge that the nation is still faced which in turn hinders the economic progression of the country.

This was revealed at the stakeholder engagement workshop on Personal Management programme by the National University of Lesotho (NUL) in collaboration with the Central Bank of Lesotho (CBL).

Speaking at this event which was held in Maseru on Tuesday, the Dean of Faculty of Social Sciences at the National University of Lesotho Professor Peter Khaola explained that this programme is intended to address the vast gap in financial literacy that the Basotho nation is facing which leads them to suffocating debts, the habits of not saving or investing and the common traits of Basotho not preparing for retirement. . .
