Maseru, Aug. 05 — Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) Media and Communications Manager, Mr. Mikia Kalati says the association has reinforced the Likuena technical team with the addition of former Bantu and current Upington City head coach Abram Mongoya to work alongside recently appointed assistant coach Bafokeng Mohapi and goalkeeper coach Sam Ketsekile.
Kalati said the shake-up comes following the departure of Bob Mafoso, who is now based in Namibia coaching African Stars, who are the league championship and will be playing in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League in September.
He indicated that Likuena will be returning to work in the coming week with a provisional squad of local based players to commence preparations for the highly anticipated 2026 World Cup qualifier against South Africa (SA) scheduled for Toyota Stadium in Bloemfontein on September 05 as well as the away game to Benin four days later.
