Maseru, Apr. 07 — The community of Lihaseng is raising concerns about the state and use of the Wool and Mohair Centre that was built in their village several years ago.
According to villagers and local leadership, the centre no longer serves its intended purpose.
Mr. Ralebenya Khomo-ea-Majoe, spokesperson for the Lihaseng chief, expressed the community’s dissatisfaction with the current use of the facility, which has recently been repurposed to host entertainment events.
“We were informed when the centre was established for wool and mohair processing. “However, now that it has become an entertainment venue, we are not being consulted or updated. For the centre to operate harmoniously within our village, the community must be engaged,” Mr. Khomo-ea-Majoe said. MM/TL
