LNOC AWARDS CERTIFICATES TO BEREA STAKEHOLDERS

Berea, Aug 05—Lesotho National Olympics Committee (LNOC) has presented certificates to at least 25 participants after completing a weeklong Sports Administration Course (level one) held at Berea District Administrator’s boardroom.

Speaking to LENA on Friday, LNOC Course Director Sports Administration Mrs. Mabothobile Shebe said the key purpose of the course was to capacitate stakeholders in sports and the District Celebrations Committee with skills regarding on sports and events management, and background of Olympics and the rebirth of the modern Olympics.

Mrs. Shebe further said an  important issue in sports administration is discipline and promotion of positive behavior, furthermore there is a need to develop knowledge about the relationship between sports fraternity and the government as the major stakeholder and as well as other independent bodies that can support sports.
