LNOC CRIES FOUL OVER STUNT ATHLETES

Maseru, Oct 16 – The Lesotho National Olympic Committee (LNOC) says many Basotho athletes are stuntmen and this deprives the country of an opportunity to qualify for international sporting events such as  the 2024 Paris Olympic Games.

LNOC Public Relations Officer Mr. Fetang Selialia told the Agency on Monday in the wake of some of the local athletes failing to qualify for the Olympic Games at the 2023 Sanlam Cape Town marathon on Sunday.

He said the main obstacle is that the majority of Basotho athletes are stuntmen, citing that this is a disadvantage as compared to athletes from other countries.
