LTTU WITHDRAWS FROM COLEPE

Maseru, Feb.17 — Lesotho Teachers Trade Union (LTTU) has withdrawn itself from Coalition of Lesotho Public Employees (COLEPE), effectively.

In its letter written to COLEPE dated February 13, LTTU General Secretary Mrs. Mamoholoane Folene indicated that the decision to withdraw from COLEPE comes after careful consideration and deliberation within its organisation in its National Council, indicating that LTTU has been an integral part of this loose arrangement, contributing to discussions and actions aimed at advancing the interests of public sector in Lesotho.

She indicated that recent developments however have highlighted significant tensions within COLEPE, particularly concerning strategic tactics and the systematic exclusion of LTTU from meaningful engagements despite its unwavering commitment to collaboration efforts. . .
