Maseru, June 13 — Today marked a significant milestone in Lesotho’s healthcare history as Maseru District Hospital, the newest and most advanced healthcare facility in the country, opened its doors to the public.
The grand opening ceremony, attended by government officials, healthcare professionals, and community members, was a testament to the country’s commitment to improving the health and well-being of its citizens.
During the opening ceremony, the World Health Organization representative, Dr. Mary Stephen delivered an impassioned speech highlighting the importance of the Maseru District Hospital and the impact it will have on the region’s healthcare system.
She commended the dedication and commitment of the healthcare professionals and government officials who made the hospital a reality.
