MFDP SHAPES 2025 SDG REPORT 

Maseru, Nov. 18 — The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP) has initiated a two-day sensitisation workshop for stakeholders, focusing on the Voluntary National Review (VNR) 2025 of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). 

The workshop aims to prepare a comprehensive report to be presented at the High-Level Political Forum under the theme ”Advancing sustainable, inclusive science and evidence-based solutions for the 2030 Agenda for the SDGs and leaving none behind. 

Speaking to the Agency, Chief Economic Officer Mr. Thabiso Kompi highlighted the importance of this initiative, saying the review will concentrate on five critical SDGs, Goal three, five, eight, 14, and 17

“These goals have historically been under-prioritised, yet they are pivotal to improving people’s lives and ensuring sustainable development,” Mr. Kompi stated. He added that the workshop seeks to bring stakeholders together to strategise and integrate these goals into national planning effectively.
