This emerged at the presentation by Sonke Gender Justice Lesotho while revealing the research findings on the situation of gender based violence against women, girls and the LGBTQ+ community which was done in  Mokhotlong, Maseru and Leribe.

While stating these findings Mrs. ‘Malintle Lehata said  reporting of physical violence especially to the Police department emerged as one of the issues accelerating abuse in the aforementioned groups.

She mentioned that the findings also revealed that emotional violence was also identified to be very high in the LGBTQ+ community more than sexual or physical violence.
