Maseru, June 07 — Elderly people who are paid digitally through Mpesa and Ecocash will receive their grants from this weekend until next week due to daily in processing of payments.
According to the Department of Social Development Public Relations Officer, Mrs. Mpho Makhetha the department has advised itself to work on weekends to address this challenge.
She also clarified that the M50 increment will not be included due to an error that had to be corrected, clarifying that beneficiaries will get that money which is now M100 as arrears next month.
In another issue, Mrs. Makhetha said elderly people, who have not been paid digitally yet and reside at Ha Mobote , Motimposo and Matala commenced receiving their grants at Maseru Post Office and Pitso ground this month as their pay points were closed last month.
