QACHA’S NEK — Olympian Tebello Ramakongoana has made history once again, smashing his own national marathon record with a remarkable time of 2:06:18 at the prestigious Xiamen Marathon in China today.
His stellar performance earned him second place and a silver medal marking his fifth consecutive marathon with improved time and his third successive national record in the event.
Speaking to the Agency on Sunday, his coach, James McKirdy from the USA could not hide his excitement hailing the achievement as a testament to Olympian Ramakongoana’s dedication and preparation.
“His effort today was massive. He is proven yet again that he is ready to shine on the global stage,” McKirdy said. “The Xiamen Marathon is a prestigious event and we are honored to have been part of it.”
