Qacha’s Nek, Aug.21 — Today marks the beginning of Poverty alleviation project (Fatofato) in nine of the district catchments namely; Leropong, Sekake, Joel, Mosaqane, Likhohloaneng, Mosiuoa, Tebellong, Lebakeng and Milikane.
The project under the Department of Forestry, Range and Soil Conservation started hiring from July 24 to August 18, 2023.
It focuses on rehabilitating dongas, forest and fruit trees plantation and maintaining roads amongst others.
In an interview with the Agency, Likhohloaneng catchment supervisor, Mrs. ‘Makananelo Leteba said only 12 of the 17 labourers showed up to work.
