ReNOKA HOLDS ITS FOURTH SEMINAR

Mohale’s Hoek, Sept. 13 — Makhaleng’s Catchment Manager, Mr. Motlalepula Rasekoele has confirmed that ReNOKA has held the fourth seminar on the Soil and Water Conservation and Water Treatment. 

Mr. Rasekoele stated this in an interview with the Agency by asserting that under the programme titled Integrated Catchment Management Plans (ICMPD), they are studying ways of managing catchments, noting they will be piloting the project at Makhaleng and upper Mohokare.

He further articulated that Lesotho has about 74 catchments with 6 being the main ones namely, ‘Maletsunyane, Makhalaneng, Likhetlane, Hlotse, Senqunyane and Khubelu.

Mr. Rasekoele concluded by articulating that they have engaged technocrats from various line ministries, including international consultants to get an insight of how other countries manage their catchments.
