Berea, Sept. 13 — Berea Police Station has encouraged people to become extra vigilant regarding their safety particularly in public places and even at their respective villages.
Berea Police issued the warning following yesterday shooting incident which claimed the life of a 25 years old cobbler at Teyateyaneng One Way street on Thursday by an unknown person.
Berea District Commissioner of Police (DISPOL) Senior Superintendent (Snr. Supt.) Kabelo Halahala said it is so unfortunate that people perish as a result of guns, therefore people need to adopt the brother’s keeper strategy for their safety by clearly knowing people around them.
Snr. Supt. Halahala said it is sad that a person can get killed in such a busy street and yet no one failed to identify the perpetrator and that is a clear indication that people should not feel relaxed around people they do not know because such people might have bad intentions
