Maseru, Oct, 21 – In a generous act of community support, Standard Bank Lesotho has donated 300 chickens and 100 bags of chicken feed, valued at M66,740, to St. Cecilia Orphanage at Ha Buasono in Berea.
The donation is aimed at helping the orphanage feed its children and sustain its operations.
Speaking at the handover ceremony, the Minister of Gender, Youth and Social Development, Mr. Pitso Lesaoana commended the private sector for stepping in to support local communities, in line with the Prime Minister’s call for greater corporate involvement in addressing social issues.
“We are pleased to see the private sector, such as Standard Bank playing a critical role in uplifting communities,” said Mr. Lesaoana.
