Mohale’s Hoek, June,20 — Chief of Shalane Hlomelang Teane has allocated pairs of school shoes to 10 children in his village, in what he noted as his way of giving back to the community, for their support.
Chief Teane stated this in an interview with the Agency by asserting that he has an orchard where he produces fruits, and after selling some of them as well as potatoes and green beans which he also producing, he took some of the savings and bought the shoes with the help of his children.
Chief Teane, who noted that there are numerous vulnerable families in the village, stated that those who benefited were selected randomly from the list compiled children, following their plea to the latter that he should reach out to the needy. . .
