TEMPORARY JOBS EXPECTED FROM ‘MUELA MAINTENANCE

Maseru, Jan. 16 — At least 300 to 400 Basotho are expected to get temporary manual works during the planned maintenance of water tunnels at ‘Muela Hydropower station which is scheduled for March 01.

This was said by the Divisional Manager Development and Operations of the Lesotho Highlands Development Authority (LHDA), Mr. Reentseng Molapo while announcing the upcoming planned maintenance of the Phase I water transfer and delivery tunnels in a press conference held in Maseru on Tuesday.

Mr. Molapo revealed that the maintenance works will be done in the areas of Pelaneng, Ngoajane, Ts’ehlanyane, Makhunoane, Hololo and ‘Muela with which a contractor has been hired to over see these works.
