NURSES NEED CONTINUING CAPACITATION – PANELLISTS

Maseru, Dec.08 — Panellists at the Lesotho Nursing and Midwifery conference have strongly emphasized that nurses need continuing capacitation.

The two day conference which is the first to be hosted by Lesotho Nurses Association (LNA) in partnership with the National University of Lesotho (NUL).

In her remarks, Dr. ‘Maliekolo Likobe said that nurses in clinics need to be capacitated regularly especially on non communicable diseases saying that they copy prescriptions made by doctors thus giving out medication to patients without checking whether patients still need such medication.
