DROP OUT CHALLENGE AT MASITISE – LIKHOELI

Quthing, Sept. 17 — Drop out rate among learners, particularly social grants, remains a huge challenge at Masitise high school.

This was disclosed by the Principal, Mrs. ‘Matemo Likhoeli during a media tour at the school on Tuesday.

Speaking in an interview, the Principal said this year alone, a total of 28  learners have dropped out between grade eight to ten.

“These are social grants learners who get school fees assistance from the Ministry of Gender, Youth and Social Development,” she stressed. She added these numbers are likely to increase since schools are in the third quarter.
