Thaba Tseka, Sept. 17 — Majara and Sefapanong primary schools were presented with 124 solar lights to enable them to read at home when their families could not afford to purchase electricity units.
Mrs. ‘Mampaka Kunene Senior Program Staff for Education and Schools stated in an interview with the Agency on Tuesday saying they have presented learners from the lower grades with small solar lights and those in higher grades with the bigger ones that could also be used to charge their phones.
According to Mrs. Kunene the bigger ones were 94 while torches were 30.
She indicated that the solar lights will be helpful to learners as some stay in families houses without electricity others cannot afford to buy units on a monthly basis.
