Thaba Tseka Sept 29 — 629 candidates contesting for this year’s Local Government elections.
This was stated in an interview with the District Electoral Officer Mrs. Makatleho Monesa in an interview with the Agency on Friday.
According to Mrs. Monesa, out of that number 467 represent men, 162 represent women, adding that out of that, 421 men represent parties while 208 represent independent candidates.
She added that out of that number independent females are 40 and independent men are 168.
