Maseru, Aug. 06—The Lesotho Congress for Democracy (LCD) rubbished the allegations making rounds on social media on the appointment of the leader of the party Mr. Mothetjoa Metsing as the Political Advisor to the Prime Minister.
Speaking in an interview with the Agency on Sunday, Mr. Apesi Rats’ele on behalf of the party indicated that Mr. Metsing has not been offered office as the Advisor to the Prime Minister as speculated but instead Mr. Metsing has availed himself as an ally to the government.
He stated that from the beginning of the coalition government, Mr. Metsing has always declared that he is willing at any time to offer political advice to the government.
Mr. Rats’ele however advised social media users to make use of such platforms for a good course as such misinformation may mislead the nation.
Mr. Mothetjoa Metsing is the former Deputy Prime Minister of Lesotho. He is a member and current leader of the Lesotho Congress for Democracy.
He served in the government of Prime Minister Mr. Thomas Motsoahae Thabane between the years of 2012 and 2015.
