Maseru, April 19 — The Lesotho National Olympic Committee (LNOC) is marking the World’s Play True Day where it encourages the nation to stop using prohibited substances in sports.
LNOC Communications and Marketing Officer Mr. Pulumo Nchakha told the Agency on Friday that the theme for this year’s World’s Play True Day is: Let’s Team Up in the fight against doping in sport.
Mr. Nchakha said based on this theme, they call upon everyone, not athletes alone, to join forces with LNOC in the fight against doping.
He said as part of observing the World’s Play True Day, LNOC will engage Phuthiatsana High School and Leqele Primary where they will have education sessions in which they will sensitise them about the dangers of doping.
