Qacha’s Nek, May.14 — Health professionals working in the remote mountainous districts of Qacha’s Nek, Mokhotlong, and Thaba Tseka have from yesterday downed tools again.
Their indefinite industrial action comes eight months later after similar action demanding that the government reviews their hardship allowance from M275 to M5 000 per month.
However, the agreement reached through negotiations with the key ministries of Health and Public Service on August 28, 2023 was M1000.
Speaking to the Agency on Tuesday, Tanki Ranthimo, the representative of the health professionals said this shutdown will occur in a sense that they will be on duty but only for serious emergencies. . .
