EU, JUSTICE STRENGTHEN REFORMS

Maseru, April 16 — To strengthen reforms in the country, the European Union (EU) together with the Ministry of Justice and Law (MoJL) is engaged in an eight days training of corrections technical vocational training officers in Maseru starting this week.

Delivering his message to trainees, MoJL Minister, Mr. Richard Ramoeletsi highlighted the importance of the training in sharpening the skills of corrections trade officers. He added that these officers are entrusted to impart training skills in the correctional setting.

The Minister explained that participants play a huge role in changing the landscape of correctional services, adding it will further impart participants on methods and techniques to help   inmates, to learn and acquire new technical skills aimed at moulding them so as to prepare them to live with communities.
