Maseru, June 08 — As Lesotho commemorates 200 years since formation of the Basotho nation by Moshoeshoe l, locals have been urged to be mindful of the native language.
Mr. Khotso Moabi, a Lecturer at Limkokwing and Author of Sesotho books has highlighted the importance of Sesotho language as a unifier amongst the nation, that can help in strengthening the journey of birth, reflection and transformation agenda.
He explained that this is vital and of course a delicate matter that should not only be thought of but practiced for the sake of inspiring the growing children.
“As a researcher and a lecturer, I have established that in recent times, Basotho have found it easier to express themselves in English rather than Sesotho,” he said.
