Maseru, June 07 — With the globe facing economic stagnation, there is a need to pay attention, raise more awareness on mental health issues all year-round.
This was disclosed by a local Mental Health Activist and founder of Insurmountable Holdings – an association spotlighting mental health issues in the country, Ms. Lieketseng Mpeete.
She stated that the Ministry of Health through Mohlomi hospital efforts are futile without additional support through associations such as hers.
Amongst others, she alluded that the current state relating to high unemployment rate as well as decline in economy has left many fragile and frustrated, others end up with depression and ultimately mental illness, the more reason why all including youth should be taught and counseled about these issues for prevention purposes.
