Maseru, June 08 — Children’s’ participation and involvement in the digitization era is important for realization of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s).
Their participation will go further in promoting their voices as according to UNICEF Lesotho Representative Mr. Deepak Bhaskaran.
He explained that UNICEF strives to empower and support children in different areas including promotion of their human rights, hence they see digitisation as an issue for children as well.
Whereas digitization has been prioritized in the 2024/25 fiscal year budget, the Agency has established that the Ministry of Information has placed it on top of the 2024 programme as part of commemorating 200 years marking existence of the Basotho nation.
