LIKUENA BASK IN GLORY AFTER ZIM VICTORY

Maseru, June 08 — Lesotho’s senior national team squad, Likuena, (The Crocodiles) are basking in the glory following the first victory of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Group C qualifier against Zimbabwe’s Warriors played at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg on Friday.

Likuena are currently perched at the top of Group C after amassing five points in three games thus far.

The boys from the Mountain Kingdom beat Zimbabwe’s Warriors 2-0 courtesy of first half goals from Rethabile Rasethunts’a as well as Jane Thaba-Ntso.

Those two goals were enough to propel Likuena to the top of the group while Zimbabwe was condemned to the bottom with only two points after the same number of games.
