MARAKABEI COMMUNITY ACCESS SERVICE

Maseru, May 15 — Despite the chilly weather, the community of Marakabei turned up at the football ground to access different health services and other public and private sector services.

The campaign to render services to the said community has been organized by Maseru District Immunization Steering Committee (DISC) as part of celebrating the country’s 200th anniversary.

While also adhering to the Prime Minister’s call of service delivery.

Present to access services are people of different ages including children, youth, middle aged and the elderly.

In an interview Mrs Malikentso Nchakha from Auplaas said that this is a good move saying that not all people like to go to health centres but with initiatives like this they come in numbers.

She said that she is very happy saying that she would like it if they can come monthly or quarterly.

Another Mrs. Mamoipone Apei from Ha Tlali said that they appreciate the initiative saying that this should be done regularly.

Also Mr. Thabo Khojane said that they are grateful that services have been brought to them especially as  sometimes they encounter problems in accessing health services at the facility.

This is the first campaign of its kind and more are expected to follow across the Maseru district with focus in rural areas.
