Mafeteng, Sept. 02 — The Administration Officer from the District Administrator’s Office Mr. Tsamaiso Tlolotlolo has called on Heads Departments to share information regarding their ministries with District Administrator as they are the ones with knowledge of their professions for the development of the district.
He made the remarks during Heads of Departments Meeting held at the District Administrator’s Office on Tuesday to introduce WASH Project where he said it is the role of Heads of Departments from different government ministries including non-governmental organisations to work hand in hand with the District Administrator for better service delivery while at the same time improving the district.
Mr. Tlolotlolo said poor attitude of civil servants towards service delivery has contributed negatively towards healthy environment of the the district, expressing concern over liquid and solid waste being littered around town by some of the shops, adding that there are responsible ministries but there is nothing done and said it is only through sharing information that the District Administrator will be able to operate normally.
Speaking at the same occasion Mr. Kopane Masheane from the Ministry of Natural Resources said WASH Project is aimed at promoting hygiene through provision of safe and clean drinking water by construction of water project, construction of improved pit latrines and promote healthy environment for all within selected schools, health facilities, public places and communities countryside targeting 250 communities, 125 public places, 15 health facilities and 125 schools whereby the main target is children.
