Maseru, Oct. 31 — Minister of Tourism, Sports, Arts and Culture Mr. Motlatsi Maqelepo says it is the responsibility of the nation to build a case for sports.
He was speaking at a Vodacom Lesotho sponsorship launch to the Premier League in Maseru on Thursday.
Mr. Maqelepo says it is everyone’s responsibility to advocate for sports, be it government, private sector or individuals so that sports can be taken where they should be.
He further noted that sports are used for job creation, recreation and crime prevention and this can only happen when there is good performance of the national teams on international level to enhance the identity of the nation.
