Maseru, Oct.31— The High Court has on Thursday ordered former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Lesotho Communications Authority (LCA) Advocate Mamarame Matela to provide a laptop, audio recorder and an iPad belonging to LCA which were given to her when she took office but never returned when she left her job.
The order was made after LCA filed an application before the High Court seeking that she be directed to return the items.
In his judgment, a judge presiding over this case Justice Tseliso Mokoko stated that the respondent’s evidence that she was rushed out of her office when she left, therefore she did not have time to take the items, is not correct. He indicated that a reason she advanced for leaving the laptop does not hold water. She had testified that the laptop was of no use to her because it was password locked therefore, she could not take it…
