Mohale’s Hoek, May 22 — The Lesotho Mounted Police Deputy Public Relations Officer Inspector ‘Mareabetsoe Mofoka has confirmed that police investigations are still on-going, following recent shootings at Taung Ha ‘Malintja.
This transpired in an interview with the Agency whereby Inspector Mofoka stated that preliminary reports show that it was around 7 in the evening, when a family of 4 was having supper when an unknown person stormed into the house and started shooting, whereby a 29 year-old man died instantly.
Inspector Mofoka further indicated that victims were a 20 year-old woman and a 10 year old who both were admitted to the Hospital in Mafeteng, while a 21 year-old man was treated as an outpatient.
She concluded by stating that the deceased is reported to have been staying in Bloemfontein and had come for his grandmother’s funeral at a nearby village.
On the other hand, CCL’s Executive Board Member Mrs. Alice Lefoka, indicated that there is a plan in the pipeline to hold a massive prayer session, in condemnation of the killings which have now brought the district in disrepute.
