Maseru, Jun. 02–African Union has commended Africa for making a significant achievements in disaster risk reduction (DRR) as a result of implementing global, continental, regional, and national DRR frameworks and programmes.
“In particular, implementing the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030: Building the Resilience of Nations and Communities to Disasters and its Africa Programme of Action (2015-2030) (PoA) contributed to substantially reducing disaster-induced losses in human lives across the continent”, the AU says. . . .
